Annual Filing Requirements

The Singapore incorporated companies are required to file annual returns with ACRA.

The Annual Return is an electronic form lodge with ACRA. It contains the name of the directors, secretary and its member, and the date to which the financial statements of the company are made up.

The information such as Company details, Shares and Financial Statements are required when filing the annual return.

Certain companies that are not required to file financial statements must still company to the act that the financial statements are properly drawn in compliance with the company act.

If the companies account is not ready to file, an extension of time to file an annual return is applicable for company with financial year ending on or after 31 August 2018.

Companies can apply for an extension of time of 60 days to file the annual return. The application cost for the extension is $200 payable to ACRA.

If the company has not filed its annual returns for more than one financial year, it needs to file the overdue returns before the company can proceed to file the latest financial year annual return.
